I have agreed to do 6 monthly illustrations for Waitrose food magazine to go with Sophie Dahl's Column. She is a wonderful natural writer who seems to with great ease conjure up wonderful moods of smell and sensation in words. It is quite a challenge to try and keep up with her in image form. I hope I somehow manage to do her writing justice.

You do so many different things, but your work looks very labor-intensive. How long does it take you to make an illustration like this?
